Library Information

The SBA library is a multipurpose informational facility that caters to student and teacher needs. The library staff and volunteers strive to maintain a welcoming academic and social atmosphere. When entering the library you will see various areas for student use. There are comfortable seating areas for studying and quiet conversation. We even have rocking chairs for relaxing near the beautiful wall of windows in the back of the library. The library also provides a research area, multiple tables, study rooms, and individual study desks for focusing on curricular content. Holding a book in hand is important to many readers even in this technological age.

The SBA library has over 14,000 fiction, non-fiction, biography, religion and reference, books in print, plus 10,000 eBooks, scholarly journals, articles and important findings that can be accessed online with SBA passwords. Need a newspaper, or magazine article? No problem. We have both hard copy and electronic versions. SBA realizes that technology is a key factor to obtaining current information. The library is blessed to have internet access for class and individual student use before, during, and after school. Students have individual logins and storage space to prepare and save their work. SBA students have incredible electronic resources at their fingertips. Thirty major databases with hundreds of sub databases link students to the information they need to succeed in the classroom. These databases and books can be reached via the Database links above. If you need database passwords, please see the library staff.

The SBA Library is a quiet place to do research, study and create using reference material, books and online media/applications. Students may work or study together if done quietly and approved by library staff. Students who cannot follow library policy will be given a second chance to work quietly, will be moved to a place where they can work without disturbing others, or will be asked to leave the library.

Students are asked to leave the library as neat and clean as they found it. Chairs need to be pushed under the tables when students leave.

Students using the Internet must abide by the Internet Acceptable Use Policy. You are NOT allowed to go to inappropriate web sites, chat rooms, shop, play games or video stream. This takes band width away from others who are using it for academics. Your laptops are for academic purposes only. Ear buds must be used if audio is needed.

Any student who abuses the AUP will be warned and then will lose Internet privileges.

Your cooperation is appreciated during your visit in the SBA library Center.
